Make a Will with Trust & Will
I know you’re young, gorgeous, and so fit that I could bounce a quarter off that ass but EVEN YOU NEED A WILL. YES! THEY ARE tres important!!
I use Trust & Will - it's truly the easiest way to make an estate plan. The interface is very easy and it is affordable. BUT if you have a super complicated estate- hire an estate lawyer.
Time to flex! List out all your assets – bank accounts, investments, real estate, jewelry, that fabulous handbag collection.
(If you want me to leave my Birkin to you, respond to this email!)
Decide who gets your treasures and dependents (where my dog moms at) and who’s in charge of making sure your will is carried out. (That’s your executor.)
Oh, and don’t forget to include a residual clause! This states what happens to any remainders of your estate that aren’t assigned to an heir!
Make it official! Sign your will in front of two witnesses who aren’t in it, or get it notarized.
(That’s what I did! I built mine on Trust & Will and then got it notarized at Staples- not to brag.)
Store your will somewhere safe (Trust & Will stores it for you) and update it as you hit life milestones.
New house? Update your will.
New boo? Update your will.
It's very chic to have a will & I'm excited to welcome you to the club.
