It’s my 33rd birthday!

Because I am wise AF now, I wanted to share 33 things I learned in 33 years.

1. Do the rotten things first every day.
2. Have a money date each month.
3. When your income increases, try to keep your expenses the same.
4. Be nice when you look in the mirror.
5. Talk about money shamelessly with your friends.
6. When in doubt, take a bath.
7. Save a damn emergency fund.
8. Move on from people without guilt.
9. Say no to weddings (send a gift instead.)
10. Have some fun with fashion. Life is too short.
11. It’s not about if they like you, it’s about if you like them.
12. It doesn’t get better. But you do!
13. Calories never count when you’re out for dinner with fabulous people you love.
14. Happiness is a habit.
15. Nearly every glamorous, wealthy, successful career woman you envy now started out as some kind of schlepp. Where you start from doesn’t matter. Just start.
16. You don’t need to know everything about stocks to invest. Just buy low-cost index funds.
17. Don’t use men to get what you want in life – – get it for yourself.
18. Watch your tone when you’re talking to people. Grr gets Grr!!
19. You can have it all but probably not all at once.
20. Renting your home is chic. Even Mrs. Dow Jones does it.
21. Unclench your jaw, soften your shoulders and take a damn breath.
22. If you are doing all the talking, you are boring somebody! Listen.
