Get Your Fall Finances In Order
Fall is here (I know you’re feeling that Virgo Groove…) and a new season means a financial reset! If you’re feeling like you overspent on Aperol Spritzes and weekend trips- don’t worry. We are going to LOCK IN and make sure you’re ready to end the year rich and strong.
How do you do this? A Money Date! (Which is like a regular date… except it’s with your money.)
Here’s how to have one.
Mark it on your calendar & don't cancel! That would be rude. I do mine on the last Sunday of every month & even if Sophie Turner calls to grab a coffee, I don't miss it.
Add your account balances, debts, and credit card transactions into The Money Book so you can see how close you are to following the 50/30/20 budgeting rule (50% on needs, 30% on wants, 20% on future you).
Now that you know how your spending was this MONTH, think through what you want to do differently NEXT month. How can you get closer to those 50/30/20 ratios? Do you need to invest more? Go out to dinner less? Make a plan. (The Money Book has simple steps to make this really easy.)
From Venmoing your friends for that dinner to cashing checks, canceling a subscription, and returning packages, this is your time to get it done. Set a timer and spend the last 10 minutes of your MD speed doing all the money tasks you’ve been putting off.
