Spring has officially sprung…and you know what that means: weddings. Personally, I LOVE attending a wedding! Open bar, chic outfit, and all my friends in one place for once? Sign me up.
But, there’s a toxic financial trend that I myself have fallen victim to as a wedding guest! Buying a new outfit every time! I realized I literally put as much pressure on myself as the bride does to find the perfect fit. And then you do the same thing for the next wedding… and the next.
And here’s the reality: attending weddings is f*#*$@ expensive. Gifts, transportation, accommodations, and then adding a new OUTFIT? It adds up! (Also why do men get to wear the same suit for 6 years and women are expected to get a new look for every wedding we’re invited to?!) Hello pink tax.
